Are you interested in contributing to educational research and helping me learn more about civic education in the Czech Republic?
I am Elizabeth Washington, Professor of Social Studies Education and a Fulbright Distinguished Scholar from The University of Florida in the U.S., with a special interest in civic education. I am seeking volunteers to take part in a study on your experiences with and perspectives on civic education during your school years, as well as during your time here at Masaryk University.
Students in the teacher preparation program at the Pedagogical Faculty of Masaryk University, ideally ages 18-23. I am seeking a variety of Czech students in terms of age, gender, school background, race/ethnicity, and regions of the Czech Republic.
Participate in one hour-long interview about your experiences and perspectives on civic education in a private location at the Pedagogical Faculty building. That’s it!
This is a voluntary activity that will have no effect on your course grades. Your professors will not know if you have participated. Participants will not be compensated for taking part in the study.
Email me at: ewashington@coe.ufl.edu
WhatsApp me at: +1 (352) 283-2663
Please provide me with your name, contact information, age, gender, race/ethnicity, school background (basic through gymnasium), and where you are from in the Czech Republic. Then I will contact you to make sure I have a variety of participants. I will keep your identities anonymous and will not use your real names in anything I write about my research.
